An organization who's membership is open to all Fire Service personnel and those interested in a Fire Service career.

The Valley Hispanic Bomberos was organized in 1991 to provide the area Fire Departments and the Valley of the Sun, advocacy on behalf of the Hispanic populace of the valley.

Identifying a solution to a fire problem, Phoenix Hispanic Firefighters canvassed a west side barrio (neighborhood) where the arson rate wa the highest recorded in the state, with residents who were predominently Spanish-speaking.

The Firefighters enjoyed each other's company, comradery and the opportunity to use their Spanish speaking skills to benefit their community with the positive impact of this event. It was a consensus to continue meeting as a group
